Position: Operation manager

Purpose of the position:

• Responsible to build, lead and streamline the Airfreight Team.
• Control and improve operational procedures and maintain Customers relations.
• Improve and maintain Airlines and Terminals relations.
• Negotiate special rates for General Cargo and Perishable cargo.
• Maintain team motivated with all what it encompasses.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible of the day to day running of the airport office.
• Keep an updated Data Quality.
• Negotiate special import/export airfreight rates and get Agreements with airlines.
• Review Billing status report.
• Review P/L on monthly basis.
• Maintain and visit existing customers.
• Support Sales with competitive rates for new customers as well as for Bids.
• Assure that operation procedures are properly fulfilled.
• Handle format claims until getting a final response.
• Coordinate monthly department meetings to verify if goals were reached, communicate department productivity, quality goals and others during monthly management meetings.
• Be responsible for employee’s induction, training, looking for a back-up for absent employees, rotations,keep a good working environment, etc.
• Be aware of employee’s vacations, breaks, overtime assignment.
• Prepare performance appraisal evaluations, coaching and provide career development of staff together with Director.
• Collaborate with overseas office.
• Any cognate duties.
